The 2025 list will be the third time we have created the Net Zero 50
Achieving net zero is a tremendous challenge and a shared responsibility.
The Net Zero 50 List 2025 in partnership with CGI and the Green Business Journal is a Digital Leaders initiative. It highlights the ongoing efforts of 50 inspiring individuals various sectors across the UK who are leading the charge towards decarbonisation.
By compiling this list of exceptional talent, we aim not only to showcase the UK's role in global sustainability efforts but also to advance cross-sector conversations and create a network focused on innovative solutions for achieving net zero.
This year once again we are working with CGI, because they believe they have an obligation to act responsibly, a belief which is realised across their organisation.
Sustainability is present in their operating practices, the innovative solutions they provide to clients, the partnerships they hold with third parties and the roles they play in the communities in which they live and work
This year we have a new Media Partner to reflect the growing awareness of the Net Zero 50 list.
The Green Business Journal is a digital publication focused on sharing insight and analysis into the UK's latest green business and environmental news; aiming to support, inspire, and generate collaboration for a sustainable future.
Creating the List
The Net Zero 50 list will be created in two stages
Creating a Longlist:
- Nominations and entries are open until 25th July. The Long List will be announced on 28th October 2025 on this website and in the Green Business Journal.
Creating the final Net Zero 50 List:
- From this long list, our judges will shortlist the 50 individuals to make up the final Net Zero 50 List 2025. The list will be announced at a reception at the House of Lords on 28th November.
